For patients who want a clear plan from the first day: Bariatrix meal replacements for a time, Dr. Wood’s supervision throughout, and a guided step back to real meals.

How Ready Steps works

For the first stretch of the program, some of your meals are Bariatrix Metabolic Reset Meals and snacks — portioned, ready to eat, nothing to weigh or calculate. They are a bridge, not a lifestyle. While they carry you, you learn what a balanced plate looks like, and then you move back to whole meals with Dr. Wood watching how your body responds.

What is included

  • Medical supervision by Dr. Wood, with visits on a set schedule
  • Metabolic Reset Meals and power-up snacks
  • Education modules that explain why each step comes when it does
  • Resources and recipes for the move back to cooking
  • A Ready Steps Starter Package to begin, then a Monthly Support Package

What you can drink

Water, sparkling water, black coffee and tea are all fine. Sugar-free drinks are allowed in moderation. Cream, sugar and juice count as food, so ask before adding them back.

Exercise can wait

The early weeks are about the meals and how you feel on them. Activity comes in once you have settled into the routine and Dr. Wood agrees it is time — her guide to starting to move again is the place to begin.

Ready Steps or medical weight management?

Both are led by Dr. Wood. Medical weight management builds a plan from your labs and may include medication; Ready Steps gives you structure through meal replacement. You choose together at your first visit, based on your history and what you have already tried. Package pricing is given at that visit.

Questions

Ready Steps questions

What is the Bariatrix Ready Steps program?

Ready Steps is a physician-supervised plan that replaces some meals with Bariatrix Metabolic Reset Meals and snacks for a set period, then moves you back to whole meals. It comes with education modules, recipes and visits with Dr. Wood.

Can I drink coffee on Ready Steps?

Yes — black coffee and tea are fine, along with water and sparkling water. Sugar-free drinks are allowed in moderation. Anything with sugar or cream counts as food, so ask before adding it.

Do I need to exercise on Ready Steps?

Not right away. The first weeks are about the meal plan and how your body responds to it; activity comes in once you have settled into the routine and Dr. Wood agrees it is time.

How do I choose between Ready Steps and medical weight management?

You decide with Dr. Wood at your first visit. Ready Steps is a structured meal-replacement start; medical weight management builds a plan from your labs and may include medication. Your history and goals decide which fits.
