Booking
Choose New Patient Visit in the online calendar, or call (618) 719-2011 Tuesday through Friday between 9 and 5. If you cannot keep an appointment or will be late, call as soon as you can so the time can go to someone else.
The visit itself
- Vitals and labs. Kaylee Rea, EMT-B, takes your vital signs and gets you ready. If labs are needed, she draws them in the office.
- Time with Dr. Wood. Thirty to forty-five minutes about your history, your medications, what you have tried and what you want to change.
- A plan, in writing. When labs are involved, results are reviewed with you at a follow-up and the plan comes from them.
Insurance
Total Body Renewal accepts most traditional insurance plans; call the office to confirm yours before your visit. Primary care visits and lab work are billed to insurance. Some other services may be covered too — Emsella, for example, may be covered for incontinence — and the office will help you find out what applies.
Payment
Cash, check or credit card. For anything insurance does not cover, the cost is discussed with you before treatment. In the practice’s words, no hidden fees and no pressure into packages.
The patient portal
Records and messages live in the Charm patient portal. It is linked at the top of every page of this site, and it is the right place for anything about your health — the contact form and email are not.
What the practice set out to do
“We use evidence based medicine, commercial meal preparations, medical grade nutrition planning, medical guided activity modification, behavioral modification, and when appropriate, FDA approved anti-obesity medication to treat patients in a holistic and respectful manner with medical knowledge as the basis for our treatment.”
