Regenerative care

PRP therapy, from your own blood

Platelet-rich plasma is drawn, spun and injected in a single visit. Dr. Wood uses it for sexual wellness, joints, hair, the face and scars.

How a PRP treatment goes

  1. Kaylee Rea, EMT-B, draws a small amount of your blood in the office.
  2. It spins in a centrifuge for 10 to 15 minutes, which separates the platelet-rich plasma from the rest.
  3. That plasma is injected into the area being treated.

Because it comes from your own blood, nothing is ordered in and nothing is shipped; it is prepared while you wait.

What PRP is used for here

  • Sexual wellness for women
  • Sexual wellness for men
  • Joint discomfort
  • Hair restoration
  • Facial rejuvenation
  • Scar revision

Whether PRP fits your concern is decided at a consultation with Dr. Kelly Wood, who also explains what it can and cannot be expected to do.

How many treatments

Usually one to three, spaced four to six weeks apart, followed by a yearly maintenance treatment. The number depends on what is being treated.

PRP alongside other care

PRP pairs with EMSCULPT NEO, including the functional protocol for weak or injured muscles. For sexual health it sits within women’s health and men’s health care, after hormones have been checked.
