A family doctor for every age

Dr. Kelly Wood has been board certified in family medicine since 2009. Total Body Renewal takes primary care patients of all ages — no referral needed.

What primary care covers

  • Care for children, teenagers and adults
  • Chronic conditions — diabetes, high blood pressure, thyroid disease, obesity
  • Sick visits and injuries
  • Physicals and preventive screenings
  • Women’s and men’s health
  • Immunizations
  • Mental-health screening and support
  • Coordination with your specialists

Chronic conditions, treated with the rest of you

Diabetes, blood pressure and weight are usually tangled together. Dr. Wood is board certified in obesity medicine as well as family medicine, so the physician managing your blood sugar is also the one who can treat the weight behind it — see medical weight management.

Labs without a second trip

Kaylee Rea, EMT-B, takes your vital signs before each visit and draws blood in the office, so most lab work happens at the same appointment.

Where Dr. Wood trained and worked

She earned her MD at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine and trained in family medicine at Saint Louis University, adding a Master of Science in Public Health there. Her earlier practice was at Belleville Family Medical Associates and at the Marissa Medical Clinic of Sparta Community Hospital, a rural clinic she built. More on Dr. Wood and the team.

Insurance

Questions

Primary care questions

Is Total Body Renewal accepting new primary care patients?

Yes, of all ages. You can book a new-patient visit online or by phone without a referral, and Dr. Wood becomes your family physician from there.

Does Dr. Wood see children?

Yes. Primary care here covers children, teenagers, adults and seniors, so a whole family can see the same physician.

Can I have blood drawn at the office?

Yes. Labs are drawn on site by Kaylee Rea, EMT-B, who also takes vital signs before your visit, so most patients do not need a separate trip for blood work.

What conditions does primary care manage?

Diabetes, high blood pressure, thyroid disease and obesity among chronic conditions, plus sick and injury visits, physicals and preventive screenings, immunizations, mental-health screening, and coordination with specialists.
